The book provides a perspective on the multidisciplinary approach to pediatric palliative care and its development in the Czech Republic and abroad. The aim of the book is to provide information about the possibilities of holistic care for a child with a life-limiting illness. It focuses on providing individualized care for the entire family of the dying child, respecting the preferences, values, biopsychosocial, and spiritual needs of the children and other family members, including siblings. It summarizes theoretical and empirical knowledge published mainly abroad, supplemented by the authors' own experiences in providing pediatric palliative care within the Mobile Hospice Ondrášek.
