The author draws from pedagogical experience that for memorization and the ability to actively use the given vocabulary again, students need to encounter this vocabulary in other textual (or merely sentence) contexts and be encouraged to use it based on various exercises. Exercises may include: a) filling in the missing word in a sentence, b) identifying a synonymous expression (word or phrase) in a sentence, c) describing a certain phenomenon, body part, posture, etc., based on a sketch (e.g., anterior pelvic tilt), d) determining a defined word based on a longer definition of a certain physiotherapeutic phenomenon (simultaneously practicing reading comprehension), e) correcting a mistake in a sentence with a physiotherapy theme, f) identifying a word among several others that clearly differs from the rest, g) questions about the content of given chapters, h) short translations of entire sentences, including important verbal phrases, not just noun terms, i) drills on certain phrases or words (repeating a word in 5-6 minimal contexts, students either repeat after the teacher or read aloud during self-study), j) practicing reading comprehension based on supplementary shorter texts containing the relevant chapter's content –...
