Motorcycle trailers form an integral yet little-known part of Czechoslovak motorist history. The book provides readers with a comprehensive picture of the history of using trailers in connection with motorcycles, which was a direct and logical consequence of the specific post-war development of motoring in Czechoslovakia. The specificity of the Czechoslovak development is confirmed by the fact that no other country experienced such a widespread use of motorcycle trailers as Czechoslovakia did. The strength of the book lies in its detailed mapping of the development of motorcycle trailers in Czechoslovakia, both the PAv trailers, whose practical yet very tasteful and timeless design embodied the efforts to utilize the motorcycle as a fully-fledged means of transport, as well as the predecessors and amateur construction trailers that were inspired by PAv trailers. Each trailer is described in detail and appropriately documented with photographs. Based on the processing of many period documents, the book also provides information on the practical operation of trailers, their maintenance, and repairs.
