The relationship between applied psychology and psychology as a whole can be compared to that between applied art and art in general. This monograph explores how theoretical psychological knowledge is used in practical activities, including social-psychological training and entirely new areas of human activity such as IT, innovation and creative thinking. The authors, university lecturers, focus primarily on psychological disciplines, human resources, marketing, healthcare, education and other fields. In addition to its practical importance, applied social psychology has strong links to the theoretical disciplines from which it draws, providing them with feedback and, through its diversity and multidisciplinary nature, helping shape contemporary paradigms.
