Description
Traveler Petr Macourek, after a charming voyage across the Atlantic, sets off on a bike through South America. For two nights, he finds himself with a wanted terrorist, elsewhere he spends the night with a musician bathing in his own urine, trying through a bizarre ritual to save his father's life, and at the end of his ride through Colombia, he even experiences two attacks by the leftist organization FARC nearby. However, there are many more good people in South America, and thus positive experiences prevail. With few exceptions, he encounters kindness and warmth from the locals. He often receives a helping hand, which is illustrated by the fact that he spent only two dollars on accommodation over eleven weeks. Traveling through Venezuela, Colombia, and Ecuador, he reaches Peru and finds himself at the Pacific. There, he fights a desperate battle with himself. What next? Should he go after the woman of his dreams into the Peruvian jungle, or continue his journey 'Without an Engine Around the World'? How to decide?
