The Pentecostal movement is referred to as the third 'missionary force,' which, alongside Roman Catholicism and Protestantism, along with the charismatic movement, forms the fastest-growing Christian movement of our time. In the Czech Republic, the Apostolic Church identifies with the Pentecostal movement, which is also a member of the Ecumenical Council of Churches and is granted special rights under § 7 paragraph 1 of Act No. 3/2002 Coll. This chronicle deals with the description of the development of the Apostolic Church from its registration in 1989 to the present day. This first volume describes the first decade of its existence, including heterodox currents both within and outside the church. The author of this chronicle (Aleš Franc; *1968) served for many years as a member of the Apostolic Church in the Brno congregation. He was a theological advisor to the Narrow Council and later the bishop's representative in the Ecumenical Council of Churches and in public relations with other churches. For his publishing activities, documenting the transformation of the Pentecostal movement through phenomena such as the Toronto Blessing, so-called group congregations, and Alpha Courses, he was expelled from the Apostolic Church in 2008.
