Description
Wellbeing is perceived as a new concept of self-care, life, health, and the surrounding community. It should encompass everything that contributes to an ideal perceived quality of life. The concept is also adopted by the newly revised Framework Educational Program for Primary Education. Wellbeing is coming into schools as the general welfare of the individual and the community of each class and the entire school community. But how will teachers and students understand it? How will they work with it? Wellbeing is meant to be part of school life as a state of everyday atmosphere, long-term climate, and as a subject within the educational process, which will permeate various educational areas and contribute to fulfilling students' key competencies. The monograph discusses aspects of wellbeing in the school environment and offers a wealth of practical advice, applications for teaching, and ideas for working with the class. It can serve as inspiration for schools when developing new educational programs after so-called major revisions, as well as for specific teachers looking for inspiration or developed methodologies on how to present the topic of wellbeing in the educational process and specific teaching to students.
