Description
It is July 1936, Alice is twelve years old and cannot wait for a summer full of adventure. She will sail with her father, an officer on the ocean liner Queen Mary, from England to faraway America. She looks forward to exploring the enormous luxurious ship with all its cabins, decks, shops, animals, and even the famous movie celebrities traveling on it.
One day, however, while wandering around the ship, Alice witnesses an attack and, along with her new friend Sonny, begins to uncover a dark conspiracy. Will they manage to find the culprit before their lives are in danger?
A. M. Howell's books are based on real historical events and deal with existing places and people. The author draws from thoroughly researched period details, skillfully weaving her own fictional story into them.
