Description
Eloise is an energetic and interesting girl who unexpectedly enters Tory's life. She has been through a series of challenging life twists; for a twelve-year-old girl, she has experienced a lot. Her rich inner life, an imaginary world that serves as both a refuge and a trap, helps her cope with various disappointments and traumas. The environment from which Eloise comes is rife with various social pathologies. Her drug-addicted father ends up in prison, her indifferent mother, who is completely unconcerned about her children's fate, and her mother's boyfriend, who is not averse to violence against children. Eloise finds herself in the whirlwind of foster care and tries to manage things her way, which doesn't always turn out as she would like. Moreover, due to her troubled past, she develops behavioral issues. Even though it seems that Eloise will never break free from her pattern of behavior, a life opportunity arises. Her father has quit drugs, found a young girlfriend, and has a little boy with her. He wants him to meet his older sister. Eloise then goes to live with him, and although life is still not as simple as she might wish, she manages to form an amazing bond with her little brother and her father's partner. She matures and stands on her own two feet, proving that 'it's never too late for a happy childhood.'
