Before Pat, Ella's classmate, are the entire summer holidays. He receives an assignment from the teacher for the holidays: he is to keep a diary. However, since "diary" is a somewhat outdated term, Pat decides to start a blog that he shares with his classmates (the well-known Ella, Hanna, Tukka, Sampa, Provocateur, and others). While everyone is going somewhere, Pat stays home and is put in charge of Emo. Who could that be? Pat is clever and concludes that Emo can only be an ostrich. That's obvious! So he begins to prepare a nest for his holiday friend and diligently studies the life of ostriches. However, Emo is a completely different bird. And there is no shortage of adventures with him. The book is primarily aimed at children who "don't like to read." The story is richly interspersed with pictures, sketches, blog entries, and online conversations. The individual chapters are short and fast-paced. The entire book is written in a diary format, containing brief notes for each day that together compose Pat's holiday story. The book is intended for children aged 7-9.
