The workbook focuses on the development of social competencies, the ability to read emotions, understand them, and interpret them correctly. It guides children to understand their own feelings, to verbalize them appropriately, to empathize with the feelings of others, and teaches children to seek these feelings around them in real situations. It also develops children's ability to interpret feelings in various ways, so they become aware that one situation can evoke different, sometimes even contradictory emotions in people. Last but not least, it leads children to develop a 'theory of mind,' which is one of the key skills in group life. The workbook is intended for preschool children and students at the beginning of primary school. Each worksheet contains a picture and several guiding questions attached to it, which serve to initiate a conversation with the child and open up a wide range of possibilities for how an adult guide can work with the child on the sheet and where suitable questions can direct the child. At the beginning of the workbook, the main emotions are listed, followed by simpler and clearer situations, and at the end of the worksheet, complex situations that are emotionally very diverse are included.
