Description
The book offers a new perspective on personal growth in adulthood, particularly in a work context. Contrary to the widespread belief that we become adults at eighteen, the author illustrates four different ways of thinking that we encounter in adults through practical examples. Each of these mindsets encompasses the previous one and offers a new and more complex understanding of the world. The perspective on adult psychological development, inspired by psychologist Robert Kegan, allows us to understand the differences we previously attributed to personality traits that we considered practically permanent. Developmental psychology, however, shows that many of the differences we encounter are developmental in nature: We can not only hope for their change but also support this change through the described methods.
