Štěpánův podivuhodný stroj – Pospíšilová Zuzana (2019)

Štěpán is an extraordinarily curious boy. He is interested in everything and wants to get to the bottom of it all. Whenever he comes across a device, he immediately examines how it works and how it could be used. When asked what he wants to be, he answers without hesitation: "I will be an inventor!" What happens when such a boy finds himself alone at night with a large antique clock? How does it work? And what secret is hidden in his grandparents' attic? Grab a screwdriver, a watchmaker's loupe, and awaken the inventor in your children. This book is intended for preschool children or fresh school starters who love machines and devices and enjoy reading with their parents. Among other things, the story about Štěpán gently and playfully introduces children to the basic terminology related to telling time (the small and large hands and what time intervals they indicate, the whole hour, time segments on the dial, etc.).
