Description
Tilly is half-Indian and half-Scottish and lives with her parents and sister in a small Canadian town. After her parents' separation, she temporarily falls into alcoholism. Fortunately, she can rely on several strong women who are part of her life – her wise grandmother and her understanding teacher, and gradually finds a way out of her bleak existence in a special therapeutic center that uses methods based on Indian healing traditions – deep perception of nature, sweat lodge stays, and healing rituals. After a challenging search for identity, she manages to reconnect with her nearly forgotten Indian roots.
