Na naší škole nám záleží - Jak sledovat a hodnotit kvalitu školy – Chvál Martin (2018)

Principals and teachers care about making their school good, ensuring that students gain as much as possible from it, and that not only students and their parents but also teachers enjoy attending. It is important for them to understand each other in what they are striving for. This cannot happen without occasional pauses, reflections, and new perspectives moving forward. How can one discuss the quality of a school when the views of all involved may differ? In the 2015/2016 school year, the Czech School Inspectorate published criteria that help us define the quality of a school and can serve as a common language for all involved. Against the backdrop of these criteria, the book pays attention to various areas of the school's work, its leadership, and teachers. Practical examples and specific guidelines for self-monitoring, evaluation, and addressing various situations are chosen for the relevant topics. The aim of the book is not only to equip the school with a strong argumentative support during inspections by external bodies but also to offer topics for joint pauses, reflections, and considerations for the further development of a specific school. The book will be appreciated by school inspectors, school principals, and teachers, as well as passionate parents who care about the functioning of the school or who are considering starting their own school.
