Description
Themes and stories of life's journey. The cycle of life explores the patterns that manifest in our lives as we seek our place in the world, strive to live authentically, and build a home – that place within us that is so easily overlooked or neglected in the fast pace of today's world. In the first half of life, as young travelers, we leave home in search of our own path through adventure. In the second half, we typically embark on a very long journey of creating our own home. At every stage of life, the archetypal essence is present within us – the divine child, puer and puella, the adult, senex. We can understand it through stories that unfold themes typical for each age – pleasure, fear of abandonment, shame, self-love, independence and initiative, fate, withdrawal from life. The archetypal journey through life then unfolds in a constant process of individuation and the search for meaning and life values.
