Rodičům na nejhezčí cestu – Matějček Zdeněk (2016)

The book dedicated to the first days, months, and years of a child's life provides information about normal development, as well as what hinders or threatens healthy development. As Zdeněk Matějček states in the introduction to the first edition, "these can be various illnesses, injuries, and similar unpleasantness, but also various inappropriate practices in caring for and raising a child. And they can even be just somewhat unusual personality traits of the child, which are not sufficiently understandable to their surroundings." The authors help parents understand their children in health and illness, in joys and worries. The book originated from a radio broadcast of the program "Us and Children." Since then, the authors have revised the texts from the first edition, adding new insights in medicine and service organization. The book contains, in addition to information and advice for specific periods, comprehensive sections on a child's motor development and preventing its disorders, principles of proper nutrition, and the current vaccination program.
