Sisters Siri and Miki live with their father on an island in the Ice Sea. One day, younger Miki is kidnapped by pirates, and Siri sets out to find her. Along the way, she experiences many adventures: she meets a white wolf huntress, learns to shoot a rifle, gets stranded on a small island, and saves a baby mermaid, until she finally reaches the pirate captain, Whitebeard. The pirates force her and other kidnapped children to work in a coal mine, from which Whitebeard wants to make diamonds. However, Siri does not give up, and with the other children, they ultimately overpower the captain together. All the children return home to their parents, and Siri and Miki reunite with their father. This thrilling story, in the spirit of Nordic classics about the adventures of two siblings, is a page-turner that sparks the reader's imagination. It is primarily intended for children aged 9 to 14. Frida Nilsson is a successful Swedish author of children's books. She has published eleven titles, which have been translated into several languages. In 2014, she received the Astrid Lindgren Award, and she is referred to as the new Astrid Lindgren in Sweden. Her books Gorilla and Me have been published by Portál.
