Description
How to recognize manipulation and how to defend against it. This interesting topic is being addressed in book form for the first time in our country, although we often come into contact with people who manipulate us. It doesn’t have to be just in business, advertising, or politics. Manipulation also finds fertile ground in family environments, in romantic relationships, and in the workplace. For the object of manipulation, it is not only unpleasant but can also have social and psychological consequences. The book aims to help protect us from manipulators, sometimes charming and cultured, other times tyrannical. It describes the behaviors and characteristics of more than thirty types of manipulators (how the manipulator communicates, induces guilt, shifts responsibility onto others, sows discord, acts with disdain, positions themselves as a victim, changes their attitudes, and is indifferent to the needs of others), provides specific life stories and examples of dialogues in various situations and environments through which we can protect ourselves against manipulation. However, the author also leads us to reflect that we do not have to see manipulation behind every similar behavior.
