Description
The aim of the book is to convey essential and research-based information about contemporary children to the reader, in connection with addressing situations that commonly arise. Generally, there are complaints about increasing child aggression. This does indeed exist, but always as a consequence, not as a cause in itself. The text helps the reader understand what causes aggression in children and suggests possible solutions. It also points out fundamental parenting mistakes made by today's parents, mainly under the pressure of parenting myths propagated by consumer society. All theoretical discussions are supplemented with case studies and their resolutions, allowing the problem to be viewed in broader contexts. The book is primarily intended for teachers in kindergartens and the first two grades of elementary schools. It will also appeal to parents and caregivers of preschool children and those just starting school.
