Continuation of the book Spratek. In the previous book Spratek, Sheila said goodbye to her teacher, and there had been no news of her for several years. When Torey learns that a high school student named Sheila will appear as an intern in the summer program for children with disabilities where she will be working, it initially seems like an interesting coincidence. She soon discovers that this is 'her' Sheila, and the fates of both heroines intertwine once again for a time. The adolescent Sheila is grappling not only with the fact that her teacher published their story in a book, but she also makes it clear to Torey and everyone around her that she is not just a literary character. Moreover, she still carries the very real pain of being abandoned by her mother and not knowing where or how her younger brother lives. She tries to engage in the work at the summer camp for children with disabilities, but unfortunately, she does it very much 'her way' – she refuses to respect the rules and believes she can better understand what is hidden in the children than the teachers. Her initiative 'on her own' culminates in her kidnapping a boy named Alejo, who is supposed to transfer to another school, in order to 'save' him. Her coming of age is full of twists, but Sheila, who gradually comes to terms with her childhood traumas, ultimately matures and becomes a satisfied young woman.
