Description
The Secret Travel Diary is the story of a six-year-old girl named Agáta, her cat Kožich, and their friends. Together, they experience adventures in an old museum where collections from travel expeditions to Africa are stored, exploring the African continent. In their case, imagination plays a crucial role, capable of breathing its own story into each individual object and metaphorically transporting them to foreign lands. In a creative and playful way, the children learn about the peculiarities of Africa – what the weather is like, what animals live there, and what legends and stories are told. ***** The book/workbook allows for a certain degree of interactivity and serves as a great foundation for further education and familiarizing children with different countries and cultures. For example, wooden masks are a symbol of Africa, used by African tribes for various religious and other rituals. Children can follow instructions to create a similar fabric mask. They can also sew a travel bag or a puppet from fabric according to the guidelines.
