Description
The town of Allora was famous for two things. The first were flying fish and the second were beautiful winding streets. Tourists flocked here from all over the country to watch the fish leap out of the sea, while artists came to paint the colorful houses that rose like steps up the Alloran hill. There were so many shades of color that the artists didn't even have enough paints to capture them faithfully... Alberto lived with his wife and children on the hill and had the whole town at his fingertips. Alberto was the best carpenter in town. During the day, he made furniture for people, and at night, he carved wooden toys for his children. However, when illness came to Allora, sad times fell upon the town. Alberto no longer made furniture but coffins so that the locals had something to bury their dead in. The illness took Alberto's wife and all their children. Unhappy Alberto awaited the day when the illness would come for him too. But the illness receded from the town, and so Alberto continued to live his lonely life until a strange guest came to him. A mysterious boy named Tito and his magical bird were fleeing from danger and sought refuge with the old carpenter. Tito eventually grew fond of the carpenter, and a strong bond formed between them. They both helped each other overcome the past and face challenges...
