Description
In the second part of the Hustoles Zoo trilogy, Zuzka Lišková experiences another adventure. She is already familiar with the animals in the zoo and is a proud member of the caretakers' team. Her task is to help wherever needed – with guinea pigs, zebras, lemurs, and many other animals. The reopened zoo is full of visitors every day, so the Lišková family decides to expand the animal residents of the zoo with a pair of endangered Sumatran tigers. However, the tiger Hiran is struggling with the transport from the Berlin Zoo to Hustoles and does not want to get used to his new enclosure. If Hiran does not acclimate to the new environment, they will have to transport him elsewhere. And in that case, they wouldn't be able to keep the tigress Koko either. Will the caretakers manage to lure Hiran out of the transport crate and distract him? And will Zuzka's idea work? The books about Hustoles are full of stories about the animals living in the zoo and also about the people who take care of them. In addition to engaging reading, young readers will learn a lot about zebras, tigers, lions, gazelles, guinea pigs, meerkats, and other animal inhabitants of Hustoles Zoo.
