Description
This Czech-language novel is set in Paris in 1968, where young Loulou de la Falaise can hardly imagine anything more boring than an invitation to tea among high society. In other ways, too, the London-born woman finds it difficult to adapt to France. She has finally escaped the shadow of her famous mother, and everything in her rebels against abandoning her colourful, eccentric style to conform to the prevailing cool elegance. Then she meets fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, and their encounter changes her life forever. Yves is fascinated by the young woman, who prefers wearing flea-market clothes yet loves fashion more than anything in the world. He makes Loulou the offer of a lifetime.
