Description
As he approaches his fiftieth birthday, social novelist Daniel Rys finally finds a partner who almost perfectly matches his ideal. Alice is young, attractive, intelligent and, unlike most of his former loves, single. Like Dan, she rides a motorcycle, and she spends her nights translating from English. He sees her minor intimacies as more of a bonus than an obstacle, little suspecting what they foreshadow.
