Description
Hamburg, 1919. John Casparius no longer believes in the goodness of people. The cruel experiences from the war haunt him, and the once-thriving shipping company owned by a Jewish family for decades is shaken by political upheavals. After a sleepless night, he meets young Leni Hansen on the banks of the Elbe at dawn. Two strangers brought together by chance for a brief but fateful moment, unaware that from this point on, their lives and the lives of their families will intertwine for generations.
