Description
Paris, 1939. Hollywood actress Drue Leyton is happily married to Frenchman Jacques Tartier. However, when her husband is sent to Brittany as a liaison for the British army, the young woman finds herself alone and troubled in a foreign city. With her fame and career now out of reach, she accepts an opportunity that will change her life forever. She befriends seasoned war journalist Dorothy Thompson and, at the urging of political agent Jean Fraysse, gets involved in radio broadcasts to the United States. The goal is to awaken America from its apathy and advocate for resistance and assistance from the USA at a time when the Nazis are advancing. However, Drue and Jean become suspects, and Hitler himself sends them a clear message: when France is conquered, Drue will be executed.
