Description
In the loose continuation of the book Wonderful Years Under the Dog, we once again meet Kvido and his somewhat extraordinary family, this time in the post-revolutionary era. Kvido is getting divorced after twelve years and is enjoying the free life of a freelance writer. He often visits his grandparents and brother Pac on the Sázava River. His grandfather, due to coupon privatization, is an unbounded admirer of Václav Klaus, but the rest of the family sees the politician as a thorn in their side, so meetings rarely go without arguments and jibes. The author quotes from Klaus's book Straightforward at the beginning of each chapter of this lightly biographical and melancholic grotesque, gradually revealing the absurdity of his words and the era itself through his characters.
