Description
In old age, the whole world turns into a place full of regret. At least for some. The main character of the story is an elderly woman marked by life, for whom family is everything, and she loves and lovingly spoils her children and grandchildren without limits. Through seemingly ordinary everyday stories and observations, a dark past flickers, which repeatedly evokes feelings of guilt and shame in the woman. She wishes she could change the unchangeable and desperately longs for forgiveness for the reckless life decisions that affected her entire family. At the same time, she is afraid to ask for it because she is convinced that she does not deserve it. Nuts for Sweets is a sensitive story about old age, family, addictions, insecurities, and the art of forgiving – especially oneself.
