Description
The Battle of Hastings, after which the Norman Duke William the Conqueror ascended to the English throne, brought years of turmoil to England, full of rebellions from defiant Anglo-Saxons. After Ashdyke Castle on the Welsh border was reduced to ashes, English noblewoman Christen witnessed her husband's murder and her brother's capture. To save her people and secure her brother's release, she agrees to a hasty marriage to one of the king's men, Miles le Gallois.
