Description
The famous detective writer Agatha Christie on a journey around the world – a unique period travelogue reveals her unknown, adventurous side. A hundred years ago, in January 1922, Christie set sail on a ten-month pilgrimage. A promotional business mission took her to South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Canada, and New York. Dozens of amazing places, quirky characters, and both harrowing and humorous situations – all of this she described in letters to her mother and documented with a series of photographs, postcards, and newspaper clippings. The compiler of the title, the author's grandson Mathew Prichard, supplemented the book with memories taken from her Autobiography.
