Description
Frances Wharton comes from an aristocratic family but has no dowry, as her father lost the family fortune. Frances is not interested in the things that concern most marriage-minded debutantes. She is drawn to politics. However, her mother forces her to marry the old but wealthy Sir Reginald, whom Frances finds boring and arrogant.
