The aging writer Mojmír has never come to terms with his divorce. Behind the mask of a seasoned cynic lies a disappointed, sensitive, and insecure man who has never forgiven his wife Hedvika for leaving him when he needed her the most. His own daughters don't want to see him much, so a doula currently occupies a central place in his life (whom readers may already know from the novels Biomanželka and Biomanžel). Although she is somewhat of Mojmír's assistant, without whom he cannot manage – and thus he also buys a trip to the Maldives not only for his friend Felix but also for his indispensable ideological opponent – whom he constantly belittles and insults. However, when Felix suddenly dies, the writer surprisingly decides not to cancel the vacation. After that, it only takes a few glasses of alcohol for something to begin that Mojmír never planned even in his wildest dreams...
