Description
The Vignes sisters will always be as similar as two peas in a pod. However, after growing up in a small Black community and deciding to run away at the age of sixteen, their everyday lives, as well as everything else, differ: their family, the society they move in, and even their racial identity. Many years later, one sister lives with her daughter in the same town from which she tried to escape years ago. The other settles in the world of white people, and her husband knows nothing about her past. Despite the many miles and just as many lies that separate the sisters, their fates remain intertwined. What impact will it have on the next generation when their daughters' paths cross?
