Description
When spouses Fern and Aiden win the lottery, their plans for their newfound wealth are very different. While Fern is determined to pay off the mortgage and start building a nest so they can finally start a family, her husband would rather embark on a trip around the world. However, Fern is not much of a traveler, so the idea of a year-long 'marriage break' soon takes shape. Aiden sets off to explore the Australian wilderness, while Fern settles in the tranquil Provence, at a castle in Vernon surrounded by beautiful French scenery, which offers a great refuge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. She soon begins taking painting lessons offered by the castle's owner, a renowned but troubled artist named Nico. The year of Fern and Aiden develops in completely opposite directions, and the question remains whether their marriage will help them change for the better or separate them forever...
