Description
It's 1969, and Ginny Richardson is completely at rock bottom. Her newborn daughter has Down syndrome, and her husband Ab, under family pressure, has decided that little Lucy must be placed immediately in the special facility Willowridge. He is convinced that they will take the best care of her there. The whole family pretends that little Lucy has died. Two years pass, and Ginny's best friend Marsha comes across an article in the newspaper describing the strange methods practiced at Willowridge. Ginny is determined that Lucy must be taken out of there immediately. At that moment, events are set in motion that cannot be stopped. A struggle begins not only for the return of her daughter to the family but also against the entire system.
