Marine was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of twenty-three. The urgency of the situation, in which she had to quickly decide whether to seek treatment or not, and the lack of information led her to reflect: 'You are the one who got sick, so you need to seek solutions within yourself.' She decided to view the illness as a special gift from life. She named her M(S) and embarked on 'gardening' and caring for her flower with the aim of dulling its thorns and getting it to share her chosen life path. What was ultimately her treatment? A project she had long dreamed of: traveling. She chose three countries: 'New Zealand will become the place where I will try to rediscover my body, to feel it more deeply so that I can protect it better. In Burma, I will try to master my mind through meditation. This will sharpen my best weapon against MS. Mongolia will become the testing ground for my soul, which I have neglected until now, even though it carries the memory. What goal will I set for myself? To find the balance that my MS is trying to disrupt.' Marine reaches out to each of us. Let us learn together with her to believe in ourselves and in our dreams.
