Description
Vanda Kalinová leads a happy life in a small spa town, but then cruel fate intervenes. After losing her husband, an elite investigator, she must face the whole world and keep her family together. Even the pre-Christmas rush might paradoxically help. Then, in her husband’s belongings, she discovers documents showing that Josef was far from honest with her. Alongside her children and mother-in-law, Vanda follows a trail of dark secrets leading not only to the region’s most powerful man but also into her own past. The answers she uncovers may put everything she loves at risk. Marie Poledňáková’s first crime novel combines suspense and likeable characters with the humour and irony familiar from her work. The contents are in Czech.
