Description
This publication, the first of its kind in our country, recalls more than 150 models of cars sold and operated in Czechoslovakia from 1945 to 1990. Passenger cars from thirty different brands are clearly divided into three time periods: 1945–1960, 1961–1975, 1976–1990. Each time period is further divided by the origin of the cars: domestically produced cars, cars from the East, and cars from the West. For all vehicles, basic technical data and numbers of sold or imported units are provided, along with period sales prices in crowns (Kčs) or Tuzex tokens (TK). These are the cars sold by Mototechna, Tuzex, and branded Škoda dealerships. The descriptions of the cars are illustrated with 450 mostly color photographs and drawings.
