There are plenty of books on basket weaving available, but for true basket weaving enthusiasts, there are still not enough. Even with this book, there surely won't be enough, but there will be more. Basket weaving is a beautiful and highly addictive hobby. Anyone who has fallen for it knows well that no matter how long they weave, there is always something new to learn. I have tried to add a book to the market that contains projects with varying levels of difficulty in weaving. It will provide beginners with the necessary advice and new inspiration for the advanced. Basket weavers have a special desire to 'gather' and weave together – perhaps we miss those evenings spent around the table, plucking feathers and chatting. I look forward to the day when that desire also catches you, and perhaps one day I will 'gather' with you for some communal weaving and be of help with advice 'in person'. And what can you weave according to the book in the meantime? Perhaps a Mottled Cat, a 'Cushion' basket, a tissue holder, a hanging cone, a hat, an autumn basket, Christmas stars, bells, wreaths, a lampshade, and many other woven essentials.
