Description
Lusitania, one of the most luxurious transatlantic liners in the world, departs from New York to Europe on May 1, 1915, where the First World War has recently broken out. At table no. 22 in first class, a diverse group of wealthy passengers has gathered, including a rich industrialist, a former British vice-consul, and the wife of a Canadian officer. One day, a corpse is found in a locked cabin with the key inside, and the murder weapon is nowhere to be found. At the captain's request, the investigation into the murder is taken over by Patrick Gallagher, a government official of Her Majesty's government. Day by day, the resolution of the locked room mystery approaches, but so does the disaster of the sinking of the Lusitania, which, in terms of casualties, is comparable to the sinking of the Titanic three years earlier.
