Description
The fairy-tale lizard Hypolit has awakened from a long sleep in a deep underground cave after many years and recalls his colleagues and fellow sleds. He remembers those with one head like himself, as well as those with three, seven, and more heads, about whom there are many legends and fairy tales both in our country and around the world. He reminds us of the time when dragons still devoured princesses and fought with dragon slayers. Alongside brave knights and young men who dared to confront dragons, Hypolit also knows quite extraordinary dragon and sled conquerors, including women. He also speaks of dragons who, for various reasons, befriended humans. He tells various stories in both cheerful and sad tones and proves that even dragons can have feelings and a sense of humor. His stories come from various places in the Czech Republic and also mention foreign dragons, which are particularly popular in China. Just like the previous five volumes of Strašidlář, the book is illustrated by Zdeňka Študlarová.
