Description
The publication is released in its second, updated, and significantly expanded edition. It has been supplemented, particularly in sections concerning the development of adult education in the Czech Republic, andragogy as a scientific discipline, and didactic issues. Attention is also paid to the growing importance of educational policy documents – chapters have been included that analyze the starting positions of these documents, primarily the theory of human capital and the concept of the knowledge society. The publication particularly reflects findings related to the sociological perspective on adult learning.
