The first volume of the textbook contains the anatomy of the entire musculoskeletal system. Professor MUDr. Radomír Čihák, DrSc., and Prof. MUDr. Miloš Grim, DrSc., have revised, updated, and supplemented it according to the latest findings. Almost one-third of the text has been updated or supplemented, and over four hundred and fifty original color illustrations by academic painters Milan Meda and Jiří Helekal have been supplemented or updated with an additional 50 images by academic painter Jiří Helekal and Mgr. Jan Kacvinský. The publication is essential not only for teaching the basic field of medicine and mastering this fundamental and challenging subject but is also a necessary addition to the professional library of doctors in many fields, where good anatomical knowledge is indispensable. The book is part of a three-volume didactic set that has not been surpassed in its professional level in our country and has been requested for many years by both faculties and clinical workplaces. Due to the ongoing interest, the authors continue to supplement the work with new findings in the field. All volumes are richly illustrated in color with original depictions totaling 1275, often consisting of several drawings.
