Description
The first part of the presented publication is primarily intended for first-year students of the Emergency Medical Technician program. Its main purpose was to unify topics and procedures specific to this field. Following the amendment of Act No. 96/2004, an emergency medical technician can perform activities without professional supervision after one year of practice in providing acute inpatient care. Nursing procedures are specified and tailored to the working conditions of intensive care units. The authors emphasize safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care, focusing on maintaining lege artis procedures, communication, and above all, humanity. The book is supplemented with many photographs from the authors' rich practice. The selection of topics was based on the currently valid competencies of emergency medical technicians. It also includes photographic procedures that are well perceived by students in practice. This publication smoothly continues with the second part, focusing on intensive care topics and specialized procedures.
