The book is intended for all anesthesiologists, whether they have specialized qualifications or not, who are looking for brief guides for individual anesthetic procedures and perioperative situations or need to quickly recall procedures that are not a routine part of their practice. It may also serve as inspiration for individual anesthetic departments and help them create their own local recommended practices and standards, as required by current accreditation conditions. The third, revised edition has undergone significant changes in content and the scope of individual chapters. In total, in four thematic sections (General Anesthetic Procedures, Special Anesthetic Procedures, Obstetric Anesthesia and Analgesia, Most Common Anesthetic Complications), the authors briefly address specific perioperative procedures in individual chapters. Readers will also find personal "know-how" (tips and tricks) and explanations of the most basic principles of the given procedures. The original author team of anesthesiologists from the General University Hospital in Prague has been expanded to include colleagues from the Motol University Hospital and the Central Military Hospital, in order to cover the entire spectrum of procedures and situations.
