This Czech-language publication examines the Czech labour market through the influence of education, skills, social background and socio-psychological characteristics on individuals’ income and the socioeconomic status of their employment. It also explores wage differences between men and women with different levels of education, changes in workers’ position after the economic crisis during the recovery of the labour market, the degree of autonomy in their jobs and the effect of skills mismatch on employees’ occupational mobility. The study presents current levels of satisfaction with work and life in general, considers the relationship between these evaluations and identifies which aspects of work and employment Czechs prefer and regard as desirable, as well as which are fulfilled in their current jobs. The accompanying material provides extensive supporting evidence in the form of tables, graphs and other outputs from statistical research and international comparisons.
