The publication presents a modern approach to regional geography and its teaching. The world is differentiated into ten relatively homogeneous macroregions, whose determination is based on the concept of American geographers. The evaluation of macroregions proceeds according to identical methodological steps. It examines both natural conditions, historical contexts, and population characteristics, as well as the economy and current specific phenomena in a global context and on a regional scale. Using a similar method, the book depicts specific parameters of the geography of individual significant states and their key issues.
