Description
In this publication, the author outlines a picture of Prague from the time when the Jagiellonians and the first Habsburgs ruled from the Czech throne. From the last third of the 15th century and throughout the 16th century, individual Prague towns began to change their medieval character into a Renaissance one at their own pace, and the Prague Castle complex also underwent a significant transformation, beautified by the ball game hall and the summer palace for Queen Anna in the refreshing royal garden. After the historical introductory section, the reader embarks on a journey with the author, who guides them through the Renaissance-developing metropolis of the Czech Kingdom with informed commentary. Alongside documentary historical images and photographs of exteriors, the text is accompanied by maps with a localization index and an overview of personalities. The title contains approximately 100 images.
